Survey finds health care preferences may be ignored
A study released by the Center for Consumer Engagement in Health
Innovation at Community Catalyst in Boston found one-third of adults age 50 and
older said their health care preferences were rarely or sometimes considered.
"When preferences are ignored, older adults are more likely to forgo
medical care and report lower satisfaction," said the center's deputy
director, Renee Markus Hodin.
