Eli Lilly drug cuts COVID-19 risk by up to 80%

Eli Lilly and Co. said a trial of its antibody drug bamlanivimab, which received emergency use authorization from the FDA in October, showed it lowered the risk of developing symptomatic COVID-19 among nursing home residents and staff by 57% compared with placebo. The risk was reduced by 80% among only nursing home residents.
