Kaiser awards $8.15M to groups promoting racial
equity
Kaiser Permanente's nonprofit health system awarded a total of
$8.15 million to dozens of community-based and nonprofit organizations to
support programs aimed at addressing systemic racism and the resulting trauma
on individuals and communities of color. "These investments will support
our community partners in organizing, advocating and advancing policies and
practices that foster racial equity and justice, healing and the opportunity
for every individual to thrive," said Yvette Radford, Kaiser Permanente's
regional vice president for external and community affairs in Northern
California.
