Older adults need to maintain a good credit score


It's important for older adults to maintain a good credit score, as it is used for many financial decisions, such as lines of credit, refinancing, car loans and balance transfers, according to Bruce McClary of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. McClary says older adults should keep accounts open and active, making at least an occasional purchase with a credit card, even if all of their debts are paid.
