Dairy intake not linked to BMD loss, fracture risk

A study published in the journal Menopause that included women ages 42 to 53 didn't associate dairy intake with bone mineral density loss at the femoral neck and lumbar spine or with fracture risk, regardless of baseline menopausal status. Study participants were grouped by dairy consumption, from less than a half serving per day to more than 2.5 servings per day.
