Researchers ran out of monkeys

Why it matters: The researchers from the numerous (and competing) organizations that are racing to create a vaccine for COVID-19 have run into a problem: They don't have enough monkeys. Aside from shining a spotlight on the ethics of animal testing for a second, this shortage will probably lead to more calls to just test vaccines on humans.
