Gleckman calls for Medicaid changes to help older adults


Regulatory changes are needed in the Medicaid program so that frail older adults have options other than going to a nursing home, writes Howard Gleckman, author of "Caring for Our Parents" and a senior fellow at The Urban Institute. Gleckman says many older adults don't need the clinical care available at nursing homes and could live in other settings, including their own home.
