Project documents pandemic's toll on the front lines


The number of front-line health care workers who have died from COVID-19 has now reached 1,080, according to Lost on the Frontline, an initiative launched to document and memorialize health care professionals who die of the disease. The report and other research suggest people of color and immigrants on the front lines have been heavily affected by the pandemic.
